SERVICE & REPAIR APPRENTICE

Position: Paid Temporary

 

Summary

Oxygen Service Co is seeking a Technician Apprentice in our Service & Repair department, located in St. Paul, MN. This is a paid temporary position, with the opportunity to work up to 15-20 hours per week M-F between the hours of 7am-5pm. Able to accommodate current school schedules, and flexibility for full-time work during the summer months.  

 

As a Technician Apprentice, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.

These responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Using Company ERP Software to complete administrative work within the equipment repair process
  • Understanding symptoms related to electrical and gas driven machines
  • Reading electrical schematics
  • Basic functional testing and multi-meter use
  • Welding (both wire and stick) for basic machine testing
  • Assembling welding machine packages learning the names of each part

 

We are seeking an individual with general knowledge of electrical circuits and diagrams or an aptitude for electronics. Someone who is able to work around live voltages and understands the applicable safety measures. Ability to operate various hand and power tools. Takes direction from others and works well within a diverse team. Also must be experienced with computers. Proficient in Microsoft Office is desired.
