Route Sales Driver

Position: Route Sales Driver

Reports to the Branch Distribution Manager

Department: Delivery | Job Status: Exempt

Location: Willmar |Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm

Position Overview:

The Route Sales Driver is responsible for completing assigned deliveries and pick up of merchandise. They are accountable for loading, driving and delivering products; serving as the main contact between the customer and the employer; and contacting prospective customers to make a sale. Ensure top service is provided to customers at business sites. This position is required to work two plus Saturdays per year.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Drive standard route of up to 150 miles/day and deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner
  • Load and unload truck with materials for daily delivery route
  • Scan all products on and off truck during daily loading, unloading and at all customer drop off/pick up sites
  • Sell welding equipment, materials and supplies to customers using technical knowledge, advising and trouble-shooting problems
  • Make/take telephone calls and create future orders for customer requests and coordinate delivery schedules
  • May confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise
  • Serve as a liaison to sales and other managers, reports on progress, communicates to appropriate personnel to enhance customer service/support

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • 2+ years of previous customer service experience required
  • 3-5 years of truck driving experience desired
  • Class A licensure with Hazmat and Air Brakes endorsements
  • Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics i.e. pressure and compatibility preferred

Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler

Position: Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler

Reports to the Gas Operations Manager

Department: Plant | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: St. Paul |Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm for second opening

Position Overview:

The Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler is responsible for performing a combination of job duties associated with the compressed/liquefied/cryogenic gas business and supporting the overall responsibilities within the plant and delivery departments.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Load/unload cylinders/tanks on vehicles and record type and quantity of cylinders
  • Ensure protection caps are secured over valves and cylinders are labeled correctly
  • Remove valves and install reconditioned valves on cylinders
  • Support in filling cylinders with numerous gases such as Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Helium, etc.
  • Vaporize liquid gases and fill tube trailers when needed
  • Assist with dry ice production in the plant
  • Assist in pumping from bulk forms to smaller cylinders according to customer orders

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics, i.e. pressure and compatibility is preferred
  • Industry experience such as handling cylinders is desired
  • Certified forklift operator is a plus
  • Ability to make decisions based on facts and attain precise set limits

Route Sales Driver

Position: Route Sales Driver

Location: Sauk Rapids | Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm

Position Overview:

The Route Sales Driver is responsible for completing assigned deliveries and pick up of merchandise. They are accountable for loading, driving and delivering products; serving as the main contact between the customer and the employer; and contacting prospective customers to make a sale. Ensure top service is provided to customers at business sites. This position is required to work two plus Saturdays per year.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Drive standard route of up to 150 miles/day and deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner
  • Sell welding equipment, materials and supplies to customers using technical knowledge, advising and trouble-shooting problems
  • Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner following all traffic rules
  • Perform daily safety inspection on truck; check turn signals, tires, prepare and complete all DOT compliance paperwork
  • Complete dock backings and tailgate backings for regular stops on route
  • Double check barcodes, delivery tickets and payments received and forward to billing clerk
  • Attend sales training and/or conferences as necessary

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • 2+ years of previous customer service experience required
  • 3-5 years of truck driving experience desired
  • Class A licensure with Hazmat and Air Brakes endorsements
  • Must be a team player with good communication and work well with other

Cryogenic Technician

Position: Cryogenic Technician

Department: Accounting | Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm | Job Status: Non-exempt

Reports to: Cryogenic Manager

The Cryogenic Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, refurbishing, inspection and maintenance on cryogenic equipment; this is to include cryogenic bulk and micro bulk storage tanks. They will ensure the proper function of the gas storage and distribution equipment while upholding a safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install equipment for bulk and micro bulk tank distribution systems
  • Perform maintenance repairs on all bulk and micro bulk tanks and ancillary equipment ensuring good working conditions
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, service and repair a variety of equipment problems
  • Conduct site surveys for cryogenic systems
  • Prepare and complete all required documentation for installations and inspections to maintain compliance
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner
  • Provide support to customers regarding best equipment for their project needs
  • Maintain communication across all departments providing cryogenic support for all locations
  • Support the EOS/Traction process by attending and participating in L-10 meetings
  • Install low to medium pressure process piping inside customer facilities
  • Understanding of material capability

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency, Technical College degree or equivalent is preferred
  • 2+ years of previous plumbing or other relevant technical experience
  • 2+ years of cryogenic system equipment experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application, and equipment is an asset
  • Skilled in working with electricity and electrical components
  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Operate, use, and train others on all equipment and machines
  • Must be able to interpret equipment diagrams and complete necessary documents for projects
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must possess a valid Class D Driver’s License to travel to customer sites
  • Strong team player that excels working independently

Outside Sales Representative

Position: Outside Sales Representative 

Reports to Sales Manager 

Department: Sales | Job Status: Exempt

Location: St. Paul, MN |Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the company’s sales goals through professional sales techniques and good customer service, maintaining quality relations with existing accounts, and providing sales and marketing coverage.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Sell welding equipment, materials, and supplies to customers using technical knowledge, advising, and trouble-shooting problems
  • Develop maximum sales potential out of assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company products and services as well as the competitive strengths/weaknesses
  • Work with Purchasing Department to maintain appropriate inventory levels communicating current and future needs
  • Responsible for managing customer accounts to include orders, DSO, and disputes as they arise
  • Maintain target list making cold calls to potential and current customers
  • Responsible for creating quotes, maintaining customer files, and account coordination and maintenance
  • Maintain CRM and/or scorecard metrics to increase market share

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Certificate in business related field is a plus
  • 5+ years in welding or related industry with sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Software
  • Ability to work alone, influence people in opinions, attitudes, and judgments
  • Must be organized and have good time management, with the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines

Delivery Driver

Position: Delivery Driver 

Reports to the Gas Distribution Manager

Department: Delivery | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: St. Paul |Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Position Overview:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for completing assigned deliveries and pick up of merchandise, and assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Pull and scan orders for the day to load trucks with materials for delivery route
  • Drive standard route in metro area (50-100 miles/day) and deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner
  • Serve as a liaison to sales and other managers, reports on progress, communicates to appropriate personnel to enhance customer service/support
  • Perform daily pre/post trip safety inspection on truck; i.e. check turn signals, tires, etc.; DOT manifest preparation and complete paperwork
  • Provide customer with receipt and/or credit form for merchandise to be picked up
  • Complete dock and tailgate stops on route. Checks empty cylinders and replace; have bills signed and perform sales and customer service tasks
  • Sort through delivery tickets in preparation of next day’s route

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years of truck driving experience desired
  • Class A license with Hazardous Material Endorsements required, Tanker Endorsement preferred
  • Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics i.e. pressure and compatibility preferred
  • Industry experience such as handling cylinders is desired
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience
