Delivery Driver

Position: Delivery Driver 

Reports to the Gas Distribution Manager

Department: Delivery | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: St. Paul |Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Position Overview:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for completing assigned deliveries and pick up of merchandise, and assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Pull and scan orders for the day to load trucks with materials for delivery route
  • Drive standard route in metro area (50-100 miles/day) and deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner
  • Serve as a liaison to sales and other managers, reports on progress, communicates to appropriate personnel to enhance customer service/support
  • Perform daily pre/post trip safety inspection on truck; i.e. check turn signals, tires, etc.; DOT manifest preparation and complete paperwork
  • Provide customer with receipt and/or credit form for merchandise to be picked up
  • Complete dock and tailgate stops on route. Checks empty cylinders and replace; have bills signed and perform sales and customer service tasks
  • Sort through delivery tickets in preparation of next day’s route

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years of truck driving experience desired
  • Class A license with Hazardous Material Endorsements required, Tanker Endorsement preferred
  • Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics i.e. pressure and compatibility preferred
  • Industry experience such as handling cylinders is desired
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience

Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler (St. Paul)

Position: Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler

Reports to the Gas Operations Manager

Department: Plant | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: St. Paul |Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm

Position Overview:

The Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler is responsible for performing a combination of job duties associated with the compressed/liquefied/cryogenic gas business and supporting the overall responsibilities within the plant and delivery departments.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Load/unload cylinders/tanks on vehicles and record type and quantity of cylinders
  • Ensure protection caps are secured over valves and cylinders are labeled correctly
  • Remove valves and install reconditioned valves on cylinders
  • Support in filling cylinders with numerous gases such as Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Helium, etc.
  • Vaporize liquid gases and fill tube trailers when needed
  • Assist with dry ice production in the plant
  • Assist in pumping from bulk forms to smaller cylinders according to customer orders

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics, i.e. pressure and compatibility is preferred
  • Industry experience such as handling cylinders is desired
  • Certified forklift operator is a plus
  • Ability to make decisions based on facts and attain precise set limits

Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler (Sauk Rapids)

Position: Plant Associate-Cylinder Handler

Reports to the Assistant Branch Operations Manager

Department: Plant | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Sauk Rapids |Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Position Overview:

The Plant Associate/Cylinder Handler is responsible for performing a combination of job duties associated with the industrial gas and supply business. The position will safely move and fill compressed gas cylinders and support the overall responsibilities within the plant and delivery departments with high efficiency and accuracy. This position is required to work two plus Saturdays per year.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Assist drivers with loading/unloading their vehicles and record cylinder types and quantities
  • Properly bar code and label cylinders or tanks
  • Ensure cylinders are properly reconditioned and secured
  • Perform cylinder inspections identifying surface defects and leaks
  • Fill cylinders with numerous gases such as Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, CO2, etc.
  • Fill cryogenic and other compressed gases from bulk source to cylinders according to customer orders

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Prior industry experience or basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics is preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience
  • Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills

Route Sales Driver

Position: Route Sales Driver

Reports to Branch Distribution Manager

Department: Delivery | Job Status: Exempt

Location: Sauk Rapids, MN |Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm

The Route Sales Driver is accountable for loading, driving, and delivering products; serving as the main contact between the customer and the employer; and contacting prospective customers to make a sale.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive standard route of up to 150 miles/day and deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner
  • Sell welding equipment, materials and supplies to customers using technical knowledge, advising and trouble-shooting problems
  • Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner following all traffic rules
  • Perform daily safety inspection on truck; check turn signals, tires, prepare and complete all DOT compliance paperwork
  • Complete dock backings and tailgate backings for regular stops on route
  • Double check barcodes, delivery tickets and payments received and forward to billing clerk
  • Attend sales training and/or conferences as necessary

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • 2+ years of previous customer service experience required
  • 3-5 years of truck driving experience desired
  • Class A licensure with Hazmat and Air Brakes endorsements
  • Must be a team player with good communication and work well with other

Cryogenic Technician

Position: Cryogenic Technician

Department: Cryogenic | Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm | Job Status: Non-exempt

Reports to: Cryogenic Manager

The Cryogenic Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, refurbishing, inspection and maintenance on cryogenic equipment; this is to include cryogenic bulk and micro bulk storage tanks. They will ensure the proper function of the gas storage and distribution equipment while upholding a safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install equipment for bulk and micro bulk tank distribution systems
  • Perform maintenance repairs on all bulk and micro bulk tanks and ancillary equipment ensuring good working conditions
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, service and repair a variety of equipment problems
  • Conduct site surveys for cryogenic systems
  • Prepare and complete all required documentation for installations and inspections to maintain compliance
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner
  • Provide support to customers regarding best equipment for their project needs
  • Maintain communication across all departments providing cryogenic support for all locations
  • Support the EOS/Traction process by attending and participating in L-10 meetings
  • Install low to medium pressure process piping inside customer facilities
  • Understanding of material capability

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency, Technical College degree or equivalent is preferred
  • 2+ years of previous plumbing or other relevant technical experience
  • 2+ years of cryogenic system equipment experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application, and equipment is an asset
  • Skilled in working with electricity and electrical components
  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Operate, use, and train others on all equipment and machines
  • Must be able to interpret equipment diagrams and complete necessary documents for projects
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must possess a valid Class D Driver’s License to travel to customer sites
  • Strong team player that excels working independently

IT Manager

Position: IT Manager

Department: Information Technology | Job Status: Exempt

Location: St. Paul, MN

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently. They will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices as well as have a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Leadership
    • Develop and implement IT policies and best practice guides for the organization
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Support
    • Design training programs and workshops for staff members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or other related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience leading and managing IT infrastructure and services, or combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation. Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including Server, Office, and 365.
  • Proficient with Active Directory, Group Policy, print management, switch management, firewall management, VPN’s, and VLAN’s.

The Dry Ice Associate is responsible for performing a combination of job duties associated with the dry ice production business. The position will safely fill dry ice bins and support the overall responsibilities of the plant with high efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Fill dry ice bins according to customer orders
  • Conduct proper bin sanitary procedures
  • Properly bar code and label bins in accordance with approved procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance on various production equipment
  • Maintain proper inventory of supplies to support dry ice production

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics, i.e. pressure and compatibility is preferred
  • Industry experience such as handling cylinders is desired
  • Must have strong attention to detail

The Customer Service/Branch Support is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations at the branch. They will provide customer support, conduct the shipping and receiving process to maintain inventory levels within the location’s warehouse, and coordinate the transfer of product between locations.

Position: E-Commerce Specialist

Department: Sales | Job Status: Exempt

Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm

Reports to: VP of Sales & Marketing

The E-Commerce Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activity and performance on the company’s E-commerce website. They will focus on supporting the goals to enhance our brand, improve the user experience, and increase customer traffic and sales through our ecommerce platform. This position is required to be onsite and will work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams.

Bulk/Swing Delivery Driver

Position: Bulk/Swing Delivery Driver

Department: Delivery | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: St. Paul | Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm

Reports to: Gas Distribution Manager

The Delivery Driver (Bulk/Swing) is responsible for completing assigned deliveries to our customers. Deliveries will consist of dropping off/picking up merchandise, cylinders, and other items as required by the customer. They will serve as a backup to our route drivers. The operation of equipment such as tanker, tube trailer, flat bed, tractor trailer, and straight truck will be required of this position. Our drivers serve as a main contact to our customers ensuring that top of the line/level/tier service is provided at all customer sites

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliver and fill various products into bulk tanks at customer sites via tanker
  • Complete various flatbed deliveries including, but not limited to, supporting bulk tank installation/removals
  • Deliver and operate high pressure tube trailer(s) at various customer sites
  • Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe, and courteous manner following all traffic rules
  • Perform daily pre/post trip safety inspections and prepare/complete DOT paperwork
  • Fill in on various routes within the metro area delivering merchandise to our customers
  • Pull and scan orders for the day to load trucks with materials for route delivery
  • Provide customer with receipt and/or credit form for merchandise to be picked up
  • Complete dock and tailgate stops on route; check and replace empty cylinders is applicable
  • Offload empty cylinders at terminal
  • Work with the billing department in verifying customer invoices
  • Assist in always maintaining an organized and clean delivery fleet and workplace

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of truck driving experience desired
  • Able to drive or learn to drive manual transmission truck proficiently
  • Class A license with Hazardous Material and Tanker Endorsements required

Position: Warehouse Associate

Department: Warehouse | Job Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Sauk Rapids | Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Reports to: Branch Operations Manager

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately pulling and preparing orders in an efficient manner to ensure quality customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment (i.e. operating forklifts) and maintain warehouse organization
  • Inspect deliveries from vendors for product damages
  • Assist internal personnel with carousel operations to maintain inventory control
  • Prepare and complete daily orders for customer shipments/deliveries; includes picking orders, material packaging, labeling shipments, and paperwork completion
  • Assist company personnel with daily vehicle preparation for customer deliveries
  • Assist shipping lead in the completion of daily cycle counting
